Alaska Sweet ‘n Spicy Awards and History

I started making this sauce for chicken wings about 20 years ago, although it has been changed quite drastically over the years to what it is now. It wasn’t until 2009 that I realized how versatile the sauce actually is. My first experiment was a beef stir fry, I loved how different it was than using it with the wings. Then I substituted the sauce for tomato paste in my meatloaf, wow again.

Then Salmon, Shrimp, Halibut, and Moose. I make my smoked salmon with a glaze of the sauce on the filets. I often run into someone who has tried the sauce in even more different ways, brie cut in half with the sauce in the middle and warmed, cooked Tofu in the sauce, as a condiment on a burger, or even with their sandwich. I have many folks say that they use it on just about everything!

Coast Pizza uses the the sauce on their wings and you can add it to any menu item, they also make a smoked salmon pizza with cream cheese and the Alaskan Umami sauce. Java Haus uses it on their sandwiches and other menu items. The Silvertip Bar and Grill in Girdwood is switching it up weekly, using our suaces on their Chicken slider, Roast beef and Cheddar slider, and a Pulled Pork sandwich.

I Hope You Get The Chance To Try My Sauce Soon!
